Just had to laugh...

These three experiences are classic examples of moments when you just have to laugh...
Experience #1- Phoebe was just a few days old and was experiencing some bad gas, as newborns often encounter. I had luckily just bought a bottle of infant gas drops the previous night and had just finished giving her some to help her work it out. I left the gas drops on the top of our dresser and walked out of the room to change her diaper. Within moments, I soon realized that the house was exceptionally quiet, and that made me worried. I ventured out of the room in search of Jack (the noisemaker) and to my dismay discovered him sitting in the rocking chair holding the now open bottle of infant gas drops which was dripping from his chin. Yes...he drank the entire bottle! In a panic I grabbed the bottle, called the Poison Control Center to make sure he wouldn't die, and when they re-assured me he would be just fine, I called Nick up on the phone and just had a good laugh with him about the whole thing!
Experience #2- Jack has been very welcoming of Phoebe these past two months...well, if you count him poking her, teasing her, grabbing her feet, mauling her every second, and tickling her. Don't worry, we don't leave them in the same room unsupervised! But nonetheless he is just expressing his excitement for the new baby in the house. And one way he likes to do that, is grabbing her passy from her mouth and showing what a good boy he is (since we are now trying to limit HIS passy use). Well, the other day, was one of those times when he felt it necessary to take Phoebe's passy away, he was laying on the bed next to her at the time, and almost instantly Phoebe reaches her little hand and knock's Jack's passy right from his mouth....I couldn't believe it!! Payback, sweet revenge...I knew she was just thinking that exact thing! Jack was soon laughing right along with me at Phoebe's show of exceptional physical ability and brain power for a newborn!
Experience #3- This experience was quite short and sweet. Jack climbed on our bed while I was changing Phoebe's diaper yesterday and I heard him exclaim, "I feed her, I feed her, Mommy." I turn around to see what on earth he is talking about, and discover him sitting upright with the Boppy over his lap and a huge grin on his little 2 year old face!! How sweet...he wants to nurse Phoebe for me, you know, give me a break!! What a sweet boy! Lol!!
